Given the extreme heat and smoke risk, it is crucial to protect our cats. Please follow these steps to keep your feline friends safe:

1️⃣ KEEP CATS INDOORS Keep cats inside to avoid smoke inhalation. If they must go out, use a secure carrier and a leash to prevent escape.

2️⃣ CREATE A SAFE INDOOR SPACE Keep windows and doors closed. If you have an air purifier or HEPA filter, use it to maintain a smoke-free environment.

3️⃣ PREPARE AN EMERGENCY KIT Have a kit ready containing food, water, medications, and identification (photo and collar).

4️⃣ PLAN FOR EVACUATION Know where you can go and who will accept your pets if evacuation is necessary. Ensure your cat is microchipped.

5️⃣ MONITOR AIR QUALITY Stay informed about local air quality alerts and limit activity accordingly.
