About Us
At our café, we do more than serve coffee—we provide a permanent home for our resident cats and a welcoming space for guests. We believe animals have a unique ability to improve well-being, so our environment is designed for relaxation, smiles, and meaningful interactions with our feline team members. Just to be clear, our cats aren’t up for adoption. They’re part of our family and the heart of our community. We’re committed to their lifelong care, and we invite you to experience their company as part of what makes our place special.
🧩 What Makes Us Unique
All right, let’s get down to business—no wild parties or over-the-top events here. What we offer is something a lot more valuable: a space designed for genuine comfort and connection. Picture a cat puzzle on the coffee table, inviting guests to unwind and engage (assuming the cats don’t claim it first, of course).
Guests are welcome to use their phones for taking photos, but, interestingly, most people end up putting their devices away. They prefer to be present and interact face-to-face. At A Slice of Purrfection, the focus is on meaningful dialogue, authentic interaction, and creating a true sense of community. Time and again, visitors leave not only feeling refreshed but with new contacts—sometimes even new friends. That’s the kind of experience we’re proud to offer.
🌸 A Safe and Supportive Space
At our café, everyone’s welcome, no exceptions. Maybe you’re looking for a quiet spot to focus, celebrating a small win, or just need a break from the daily grind—whatever it is, we’re here for you. We’re serious about being an inclusive space: visible or invisible challenges, different needs, or just a need to recharge, it doesn’t matter. You’re always invited to stop by. We understand how important it is to have a place where you can just be yourself and unwind.
🐱 Therapy With Cats
At A Slice of Purrfection, we’re all about cat therapy. There’s a real, tangible benefit to having a purring cat on your lap—the atmosphere just settles, people relax, and genuine smiles start to pop up. These small moments make a significant impact on mental wellness. Honestly, we witness these positive effects every day, and that’s exactly what motivates us to continue our work.
We are pleased to announce partnership with Newton Regis Hedgehog Rescue.
Hedgehogs are a beloved part of our local countryside, but their population is declining. Newton Regis Hedgehog Rescue is a local non-profit that works tirelessly to rescue, rehabilitate, and release them. They are currently overwhelmed, with over 15 hedgehogs and multiple new babies that require bottle-feeding and round-the-clock care.
The rescue's funds are very low, and they are in desperate need of our help.
We have set up a collection point on our porch for any donations you can give. This rescue center is run by volunteers and relies solely on generous donations. Your contribution, no matter how small, will make a huge difference.
Here is a list of what they urgently need:
- Puppy pads
- Whiskas brand cat food
- Puppy milk
- Newspapers
- Disposable gloves
- Meat (not fish) dog food
Thank you so much for your generosity!
